My car is overheating. It has a new water pump and thermostat. There are no leaks under the vehicle. What else could it be?

Radiator plugged internally. Radiator plugged with a butterfly collection. Red Dex-Cool antifreeze wasn't changed often enough. (We call that stuff "Dex-Mud"). Cooling fins on radiator corroded and crumbling away.

One of the more common causes of overheating is a leaking cylinder head gasket. Your mechanic can perform a chemical test to verify that. The water pump and thermostat are two of the least likely causes of overheating.
