I installed a new synchronizer that I purchased from Orielly's. I drove for about 4 hours when my oil pressure dropped to 0 PSI. I pulled out synchronizer to see if I could see anything and there wasn't any visible damage to shaft that drives the oil pump and the drive gear looks okay. I put a flashlight down the synchronizer hole in the block and noticed the cam shaft gear was completely ground off the camshaft.

I am sorry to hear that, it sounds like the new synchronizer was the wrong one or the unit was not installed completely down onto the block which ruined the camshaft. Now the engine will need to be disassembled and the camshaft replaced. Keep in mind that the metal from the camshaft gear is now inside the engine and can cause damage as well. How does the new synchronizer gear look? Can you upload an image?
