timing belt

Well it isn't due until 100,000 miles, and it should only take a pro about 2 1/2 hours. Difficulty level is relevant to the person doing it. If you are prepared for possible down time and have good mechanical aptitude, and are willing to except the fact that they aren't engineered for repair :evil: by the manufacturers, then try it. If your not willing to subject yourself to potential frustration or mishaps that can damage the engine, and you are aware that if you get stuck, it will REALLY get expensive to have it towed in and let someone else reconstruct the jigsaw (which techs hate) but want to try it anyways...give it a shot. You do need a scanner to clear the cold start counter before doing the job. There are a few other specialty tools reccomended:

it is best to do it early, if the belt breaks or you dont align it properly it will bend valves and then you will be introuble unless you have alot of money
