94 Buick Park Ave. 3.8 not the ultra has about 108000 miles. The problem started with a puff of smoke, it smoke a little bit and went away and then the next day it did it again. I had a problem like this before on a different vehicle and it turned out to be the cruise controll. So I unplugged the cruise on the buick under the hood. The car has not smoked since then but I really want my cruise back. I pulled the steering wheel and I am now stuck at the turn signal swith and I was needing some advice to finish the job. Can you help me?

have you removed the switch? Take a look at all the electrical contacts and see if you can tell were it got hot. Most of the time the problem will be with that switch assembly. also smell it and see if it sells like it was hot. If that is what it is you will smell that burnt electrical smell from the switch.
