Leaking coolant

Ok there is a tube coming from the water pump that runs through something else mounted by the alternator then comes out by the intake manifold and bends 90 degrees and goes into the intake manifold. I had someone at a parts store say this is the heating hose/tube and to replace it on my model car I have to buy the water pump because the tube is part of the water pump assembly. Ok I'm not a mechanic and have basic knowledge of the components of an engine or car in general. I however do not have any experience working on anything other then changing a tire or changing oil. Water is flowing steadily from around this tube I mentioned right at where it meets the intake manifold. What kind of gasket or O ring or whatever seal would this be? Can I remove it without taking apart the intake manifold? Must I buy a water pump to replace it? I had someone put a pressurisor on it today and it comes out fast. I can fill it up completely the radiator and reserve and let it run for maybe 4-5 minutes and the reserve is basicly empty and the radiator level decreases. It really flows out. What's your opinnions on the issue and how to go about repairing it. Sorry if I'm not too descriptive or using correct terms but this isn't my thing. If there are any more details or such I should include please let me know. I'm just wanting to repair this thing myself because money is extremely tight as it is. I need this fixed asap too because I'm offered a bonus for perfect attendence at my place of employment. What manuals should I buy? I have access to tools from friends. I just don't want to have them do it and end up paying for the labor with cash when I can just use my time. Thank you for reading this.
