My car just died the other day. It wouldn't start. I changed the spark plugs/coil/ecm. I tried to start it and seemed to run the battery dry. I have it on a charger while trying to start. I'm get spark to the spark plugs. I took each wire off and attached old spark plug on metal while starting. I saw spark while enging tried to kick over. The engine misfires and just wont' kick over. I can here the starter wind out at times when trying to start. I think I gettin gas. The old plugs were wet and I thought the were fouled out. Could the starter be bad? How can I check it? 200,000 miles backyard mechanic. Should I jjust put her down. I like working on that car. I replace almost everything on that car. I haven't replaced the starter? Yet? When I turn the key the car cranks and cranks will sound like It's misfiring. The car sounds the same when I try and start it when all the spark plug wires are attached and when I remove one and try and start it. Should I just break down and buy new wires? Help I love that car.

Hi:

If you are getting spark and fuel, you may need to check sensors. Is there a ck eng light on? If so, you will be able to pull a code. If not, you may want to have it looked at by a mechanic. It could be a timing / internal engine problem.
