1995 Buick Lesabre oil leak

1995 Buick Lesabre V6 Front Wheel Drive Automatic 67000 miles

I was driving home and the car stalled, when I started it again there was a rattleing, knocking sound. When I got home it was dark so I parked it.I started it in the morning with the hood up same sound only now it was pouring oil out. I jacked it up and found that it blew the gasket out of the oil filter. I checked with a local parts place and they said it was caused by an old pcv valve. I replaced that, put new filter and oil back in, started again and the same thing happened.I am guessing that there is way too much oil pressure. The car does not have an oil pressure gauge just a light so I cant tell what it is. My question is have you heard of this, what is causing it and where do I begin to fix. I was going to trade it in next month to buy my wife a car so. I need help! Thank you guys very much for any info
