Buick century limited 1991 79k miles 3.3L motor
car was running fine and then stalled and would not restart. Towed home and let sit for 3-4 hrs and car started shut off car to use keys to lock house and then go on test drive. Car would crank and not start. Let sit again and same thing happened, started and seemed to run normally, shut off and it cranks but does not start.

During the no start, check the plug wires to see if there is any spark. It could be a failing coil or a sensor.

Bruce, thanks for your post. Still having problems with this one. Have tried your suggestion and had no spark, so I replaced the crank sensor after pulling faults for said sensor and car still has the same issue. It seems to run fine at idle then cuts out and sometimes dies under power. I am reluctant to just throw parts at it.

It finally wound up being two bad fuel injectors. One was shorted and one was open. Replaced the open one and then found the shorted one by dumb luck. What a pain in the a**.
