I've answered this one elsewhere. Unscrew the front grill. I think there are four recessed star-headed, AKA Torx screws holding it on. Then you can unlatch the hood. A replacement cable plugs into the firewall and connects to the release lever at one end and attaches to the latch at the other. Sorry I don't have a picture.
