Brakes were working perfectly. Had to have spark plugs and coil pack replaced, and now the brakes go all the way to the floor (and even then they sometimes will not stop the car). Brake fluid is holding well. There was a time when the mechanic was checking my engine mounts by holding the brake tight and accelerating. Could it just be that the pedal needs time to reset after that type of use?

Good afternoon.

There is no reset on the brake pedal.

When the tech did the test and pressed hard on the pedal to keep it from moving, the seals got damaged in the master cylinder. The master cylinder needs to be replaced.
