I have a 1994 Dodge Dakota v8 2wd. I recently noticed my brake lights stopped working completely, all of my other lights work, even my hazard lights which use the same bulb, I have tried changing the bulbs, I installed a new rear connection, I replaced and tested the interior brake light switch, I checked the ground on the firewall, I have checked the fuses, my battery is fully charged, but today I took my starter to the local auto parts store to have it tested and it was bad, but I am not sure if that makes a difference, I have tried asking around and nobody seems to know, and suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

How do you relate a starter to brake lights? What was the symptom with the starter other than "it was bad"?

With no test results or diagnostic information to go on, my guess is you have a problem with the signal switch. Testing to rule everything else out would verify that.
