I am having a problem with my brake lights not working, I have replaced the switch near the pedal ( though I am not sure that I adjusted it correctly), I have ohm'd the fuse in the distribution box and it ohm'd ok, Am I missing something? Is there anything else I can try?

Hi:

I will assume the bulbs are good. Yes, when the brakes are off, the switch should be pushed in (open circuit) When you push the brakes, the switch is released closing the circuit and allowing power to travel to the lights.

Are you getting power to the switch?

Let me know if this helps, and if you have any other questions.
Joe

I had a friend of the family who works for a dealer look at it and found that a wire coming from the power distribution box thru the firewall was broken and that is why I wasnt getting power to the switch
