Put my vehicle into a shop for rear rotors and brake pads front and rear. Front rotors were resurfaced. When I got the vehicle back and drove away the brake pedal went to the floor. Barely had any stopping ability. Went back to shop and brake fluid was running out of the right front brake area. Was told that the brake line was broken and it needed a brake line and all new calipers since they could not bleed the brakes. Work completed but brake pedal still went to the floor. They then replaced the master cylinder, but brake pedal still goes to the floor. They say they do not know the cause but I will have to take it elsewhere to have it serviced. Any ideas? Need help. Already spent over $1,000.00.

Wow I would not go back there again. Was the brake pedal okay when you brought it in?

It sounds like they just do not know what they are doing.

Here is a guide that covers a low brake pedal.

You will need to lift the car and take off the wheels to start our inspection to see what they did.

Here are a few guides to get us going:

Please upload pictures of anything you see that doesn't look right so we can begin.

Please let us know what you find.

Brake pedal was fine. Had a little chatter when braking at higher speeds. Got a different mechanic to look at it. Apparently they did not replace the master cylinder but he said he found a bad sensor in the master cylinder, replaced it and now it works normally. No longer using the previous mechanic to even inflate the tires. Thanks.
