2006 BMW 530i hesitates and sputters

My car has ran perfectly always!!! Never had any problems with it. Last night parked it in the driveway and went to sleep. Woke up today, went to go leave to go to the store and as soon as I put the car in reverse I could tell something wasn't right. It is sputtering like it wants to run out of gas,but there is over half tank. When you press the gas pedal, it's hesitating ecspecially up and down hills. Someone said sounds like water in gas??? What do you think???

I think that with some diagnosis, there could be a happy ending, but without more information, I am not going to be much help. Have the coils been replaced?, BMW was going through coils in 2006.
