1998 BMW 528 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

When removing the radiator. Is it necesary to remove the big nut that comes from the waterpump to take off the fan so the shroud and radiator will come out? The radiator is loose but AC hoses seem to prevent it(blocking) it from being able to pull it out?

Yes, the fan has to come out and it is a left hand thread and it requires a 36mm thin wrench and a holding tool for removal. After you get the fan out, the radiator comes right out. Let me know if you need anything else. Ã â Â
