Driving my 2003 BMW 330i ZHP out of the neighborhood, as i pulled out onto the next street the throttle did not respond as i released the clutch. The EML light illuminated on the dash and the engine kind of rhymthmically sputtered, the tachometer bouncing up and down with a range of a few hundreed rpms and the engine could be heard with the same rhythm. I turned the car off and back on and it ran with no noticeable problems or indicators. I continued to drive it for roughly 30 minutes with no further issue. What could have caused this problem and should i take it to a technician?

The issue could be just a fluke. If it persists, you might have an issue with the throttle motor and the engine wiring harness, there is a bulletin regarding the fault and it calls for replacement of the aforementioned components.
