Sometimes the power sliding door controller gets confused and thinks there is something blocking the door travel path, when it may actually be encountering increased resistance due to friction.
When you open the door, you can try to gently assist the door past the spot where it has been stopping and reversing. If this helps, then some of the door components and/or track may need servicing.
Excess friction can be caused by corrosion, rust, dirt, or debris in the sliding door rollers, bearings, or pivot points.
