I own the car listed above EX model 5 speed transmission. driving the other day the speedometer started jumping around and finally quit all together. It threw 2 codes p1298 and p0500. I've replaced the load detector and the speed sensor and have tried 2 different clusters the blue and white wire has 4.8 volts all the time. the black and yellow has 12v with ignition on and I have good ground. I've checked everything I could think of. When i hook my scanner up to the car I can drive and read speed so it's obviously making it to the computer and last night I hooked the head of the speed sensor to my drill chuck and with the ignition to position 2. I gave it a spin and it works on the cluster. what am I missing here? I have a jdm f23a motor and alternator and lower manifold the rest is all usdm. thanks for your time.
