antifreze in engine oil

i had leak of antifreeze under my car and my mechanic want to replace manifold gaskets for $700.What can happened if i change the oil and drive 1500 miles to have them replaced for free?Is that a reasonable price? Is it dangerous to drive like that?

it really depends on where it is leakingif it's from gaskets it may be leaking out side alllwe can advise is to have it pressure checked and if leaking outside then try it. it's your vehicle.
