Hey guys, do you know where I can screw in an aftermarket oil pressure sensor? It's not really a sensor, but the brass fitting, and hose that feeds a mechanical gauge?

Tie in at the oil pressure sender unit, probably close to the oil filter. If you use a tee, you can probably get everything hooked-up. Also, this is your project, your responsibility. If something goes bad, you lose oil pressure and the engine seizes, tha'ts on you, not me. Goodluck

I tried that this weekend, did not get any readings on the gauge, nor did I get any readings when hooked directly to where the oil sending unit is screwed in. What's there now is actually an oil pressure switch, which turns the light on or off.
Would the pressure still be the same?
