I have the car listed above GT. A few days ago my car started blinking ABS light, traction light, check engine light, and said check brake system okay. Well checked everything it was good put new battery and alternator in it 3 months ago 2 months ago Ford supposedly replaced airbags because of recall. Well since then it not been acting up. Well anyway 4 days ago all those lights come on but still cranked got home and wouldn't crank back up. Had Ford tech came out couldn't figure anything out reset computer and keys and still wouldn't send signal to car to crank. Well the car lot that I got car from tech came out took the pass time box out that someone else had put in well reprogrammed again still nothing. Said to check all fuses so I did cleaned all them and nothing blown. So now Ford has no clue and I am stuck with a $13,000.00 car that I can't drive. Someone please help have tried every video on internet nothing.

Did they retrieve any codes from the PCM and if they did what were they? This is very very very important for my diagnosis! The code/s will tell me where to go with the diagnostic process. I've done lots of those recalls myself and I can't see how they could mess anything up related to the passive anti-theft system.

The first code thing that popped was code B1681 said PATS transceiver module signal is not received possible causes damaged PCM well that was before he found a pass time tracker. Well I called the car lot I got the car and his guy came out took pass time out. Well it still did nothing. I just took out anti theft fuse and still nothing.

The transceiver module is the "ring" around the ignition key cylinder that will talk to the key then transmit a signal to the PCM as to the code that is embedded in the key, the PCM will determine if that code is programmed for this vehicle or not. Now with code B1681, either the transceiver is not doing it's job, the circuit is open or grounded, or the pcm is not doing it's job. If this pastime tracker is wired in to the transceiver, the wires could be cut if they wired it in series. Also put back any fuses that were removed. I remove a lot of aftermarket theft devices because #1 they don't work anymore #2 they are wired incorrectly. Either way, I always take the vehicle back to stock form before I proceed, with that said I cannot see what the tech has done to "remove" the system. He may have cut it out but did he restore the wiring? Can you upload a picture of what he has done? I could give you the entire pinpoint test procedure, but that would not be doing you any good if the wiring is chopped up! I'd like to get you fixed quickly and efficiently!

Hello and welcome to 2CarPros. Just to jump in, that bypass wire does not look like it needs to be there? You need to have the car lot you bought it from restore the circuit back to factory, and that does not look factory.

Any type of aftermarket equipment installed that affects the key will result in problems. The car lot you bought your vehicle from needs to correct this. You may need to call the Bureau of Automotive Repair to get involve to get this repaired properly but every State has there own laws that govern stuff like this. If your in California you have a pretty good chance to have the car lot pay for the wiring repair/new harness if needed. But I would recommend you call them first to see what your options are.
