Sorry, no they are not interchangeable. The Rendezvous used a different alternator from 2004-2006 on both engine options. With the mounting, belt pulley and the charging systems are operated differently with the regulator on the 2004 being internal to the alternator while the Pontiac has the regulator built into the PCM on the car.
The alternators and replacement are also different depending on which engine you have in the vehicle. Could you post if it has the 3.4 liter or the 3.8 liter and if it is all wheel drive please? An easy way to tell the difference without digging out the information is to just look at where the alternator is mounted. The 3.4 has it mounted to the engine on top and on the firewall side of the engine next to the power steering pump. The 3.8 has it mounted on the radiator side of the engine above the A/C compressor.
The major difference in removal is which direction you need to move the engine to get to the mounting bolts.
What is the reason you wish to replace the unit that is on it now? Not charging, noisy, upgrading? This might help if it needs to be tested:
