It happens mostly in cold or cooler weather. After about 10-15 mins of reving it usuallly kicks in or after I drive it for a minute or two. It also dies at first when I put it in gear when not firing all the way. I had the carb cleaned out and it still happens. It has a 4 barrel edelbrock carb. Any suggestions.

I would start by checking the condition of your plugs, wires, and cap and replace whatever seems questionable. A hairline crack in the dist. Cap can allow moisture to get in and cause the type of problem you are having. Hope this helps.

I replaced the distributor cap and rotor and the plug wires today. I will do the plugs tomorrow, but it seems to be running better already. Maybe its wishful thinking. Lol. Ill let you know how it pans out tomorrow. The distributor cap was in bad shape and the one plug I took out was almost comletely rusted on the shaft and the guy at the parts place said it was long past needing replacement.

Distributor cap, rotor, plugs, and plug wires. That should do it. Check your plugs too to make sure that oil isn't dripping on the plugs
