I would think that the sensor needs replaced. Do you have any codes/lights set?

Hey THATSUITSU

I would replace the camshaft angle sensor here is a guide to help you get the problem fixed. I would also replace the crankshaft angle sensor becasue they work together.

Please let me know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Suggested Repair

Replace the camshaft angle sensor and also replace the crankshaft angle sensor, since the two sensors work together. A new coil pack did not resolve the no-spark condition.

Conversation Summary

A 2001 PT Cruiser with a 2.4L engine will not start because it has no spark. Unplugging the cam sensor lets it run poorly, but reconnecting the sensor shuts it off; with the sensor connected, only cylinders 1 and 4 spark. There are no codes, and a new coil pack did not help. Experts recommend replacing the camshaft angle sensor and the crankshaft angle sensor because they work together.
