2000 s type 3.0 jag

2000 ALL OTHER MAKES ALL OTHER MODELS

the car is in park gear. the shift gear is moveing but the gear stay in park. i can not go back or forword.

P.s. the car is park in slop 30 degree angle.
how can change the gears. is there any thing i can do?

There is a mechanical linkage that connects the gear shift lever to the transmission. Somewhere along the lines it sounds if something has came apart. It could be the linkage itself or something inside the tranny. You will have to get underneath (use jack stands and a wheel chock for proper safety) and see if the linkage is connected to the transmission.
