1967 Questions for all other cars Carburation

The MG Midget idles smoothly. It revs smoothly. When I drive around it runs fine until I get to around 4500 rpms then it starts to bog down. Almost like the mixture is wrong but when I choke it it doesn't help.

Check the main metering circuit/power circuit of the carbuerator/also the fuel pressure. If unable replace the Carb.

There are no electronics to these carbs. They are dual SU1 carbs that are strictly manual. The only electronic in the mix is the fuel pump which seems to be working fine.

Did you check the fuel pressure. A Carb has 5 circuits and I'm not talking about electronic type feedback.

Try testing the ignitiion coil.
