My running tail lights keep going out. We have changed the bulbs and the fuses, but I just realized that prior to me locking/unlocking the doors all of the lights were working fine (after changing the fuse) after I hit the alarm to lock the doors the lights stopped working. It is a factory alarm. Could this be what is draining my fuse?

Does one of the door lock not working? It sounds like one of the door lock actuators is shorted out causing the fuse to blow. Does the door locks stop working as well?

Please let us know what happens.

Cheers, Ken

The door locks and unlocks fine, however the driver side window does not roll up and down. The motor works like it wants to but the window does not budge. Other than that the car is in perfect working order. The day before yesterday we did change the 15a fuse to a higher amperage of 20 which seems to have done the trick. My concern is it only being a temporary fix. I do not want to keep changing the fuse because I have been told that it can blow the engine.

Only 5 amps you should be fine it will not hurt anything do not go any more though. I would start by checking all bulb sockets and look for water damage corrosion and melted terminals and contacts front and rear.
