I locked my doors for the first time two weeks ago, left the driver door unlocked I did not know if the key would unlock the doors and did not want to take a chance on being locked out. Big mistake, the alarm started going crazy. I finally ripped the horn off so I could stop having people yelling. I called a tow truck got the car home. I have tried everything with the key and the door etc, been googling videos trying to figure out how to disable it no luck. Please help paying $40.00 a day to get to and from work is killing me. Any advice please let me know. Thank you.

This is part of "repair guides" at the top of our site pages

Look it over, your possibility may be near the end of the article.

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-reset-a-security-system

If you follow the steps, you might just fix this issue.

Please return with good news or at least let us know your results.

Have you tried local fellers about the alarm?

If it is an "add on" maybe the local "car stereo" seller/ installer does that sorta work and might give you suggestions.

Another way to maybe find that sorta place might be to go to a real popular local auto parts store and ask if they know of such a place/ person.

Many times a little sweet talkin'/ cup of coffee/ or a cold soda will get you some info at no charge! (I always take a cooler of soft drinks to a auto salvage yard when I go parts hunting!)

Sorry that I'm not much help,

Keep us posted
