Hello there, are you trying to just turn the light out? If that is the case you can probably just unplug it from the back of the instrument cluster. You have to be careful though with working with airbag systems. Do not just unplug airbags or any modules that have bright yellow wires. Those are the airbag system control wires and you can set off and airbag if you are not careful. Undo the battery negative and wait at least thirty minutes before doing anything. Better yet you might just want to leave it alone.

What can we help you with? Here is a video to run the codes so we can fix the problem which will probably be the clock spring for the steering wheel:

Watched the video and I cannot afford a code reader like that sir. I have used the regular ones so I imagine that is probably about $400. To to $500.00 if had that I would get fixed. Thank you very much for your insight to the problem but have a bigger problem I put a new ignition cylinder a new switch in in the same car erased the original key I guess, but it starts sometimes every time and then like it has no juice have start it from the starter relay it is getting old. Thanks

That reader was $119.00 on Amazon. Here is the link:

Can you start a new question about the ignition switch so we do not mix the subject matter please?
