2000 Acura TL replacent of catalytic converter

I have already bought an after market converter which the car doesn't accept. After the replacement the light is still on.I now understand that it needs a 3 stage made for this car part. Would you know what manufacturer does Acura use? or if I put a Benchmark converter will the replacement be successful?

The fault code for the catalytic converter may be caused by a Mass Airflow Sensor that is slightly out of range. Replacing it will probably fix your problem. As for the after-market catalytic converter, it may or may not be functioning properly. Rather than using the temperature test, the true test is the range of emissions is at the tailpipe.
