In may 2009 took car to oil express for oil 2 weeks later noticed oil down half way, 2 more week later went to acura after 800-1000 mile. Dealer said car was bone dry no oil on stick, started comsumption tests now 8 months later dealer recommends valve adjust and replace catalytic converter to help pass emission test. Dealer mention possible deeper internal engine problem may require engine brk down who do u trust?

The cat converter should be covered under the federal emissions warranty. Have a leakdown test done on the engine, that will let you know if the oil is getting in past the rings. Not sure how necessary a valve adjust would be at that mileage either, but its possible it may need it
