Gets no spark?

Engine cranks, but will not start. Grounded a plug wire while cranking, gets no spark.

Hello,

If there is no spark, it could be due to bad distributor cap or rotor, faulty distributor. It can also be due to a bad ignition coil.
It can also be due to the coil not getting any power.
