I am having hot air blowing out my vent when the air dial is turned to AC. I have had two mechanics to charge me $1,000.00 and I still have the same problem. Compressor and condenser have been changed. What is my problem?

Welcome to 2CarPros.

The most common issue with this symptom (if the AC is working) is a bad blend air door. The blend door is responsible for changing air flow directions based on the temperature you request. So, you could have the AC on, it could be working, but the door doesn't adjust to allow the cold air to enter, but rather allowing heat.

Here is a link that shows in general how one is replaced. I'm adding directions for replacement because then you can access it and determine if it is actually working.

Specific directions are included in the two pics attached.

Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions.

Would that still be a blend door issue or a fan issue? Because I noticed after I turn my car off the fan stays on also.

Welcome back.

The non-responsive temperature issues are most likely related to the blend air door. As far as the fan, are you saying it stays on with the key off and out of the vehicle? If so, that is something different.

Let me know.
