Camaro LT 6 cylinder convertible. We have already replaced the starter due to vehicle not cranking. Now the vehicle cranks but doesn't start, however it is pulling a code of P1682 which looking into it was two things either the ignition switch circuit or the ECM. being the ignition switch was the cheaper option to try we went and replaced that, and also had the battery test also to rule that out as well. it's still not starting but cranks fine and we believe that it's the ECM but wanted to know if it could be re-flashed or does it need to be replaced, also or can anyone besides the dealer re-flash the ECM?

Son bought a used 2002 Camaro and has been driving it for 2 years. The other day it wouldn't crank, dash lights on single click, then nothing. After 30 hours of testing battery, starter, selinoid, starter relay, VATS system, nuetral safety switch, and the ignition switch with no results. I noticed a PASSTIME PTE-3 module that I thought was OEM. Module had gone bad, took less than 15 minutes to remove and splice original wires back together and restore ability to start. Hope this saves someone else the frustration I had. PASSTIME is installed by lenders to disable and locate cars for repo.
