2008 Suzuki XL7 Limited 3.6L (transverse mounted 6 cyl) AWD. Having trouble determining which manifold belongs to bank 1 and which manifold belongs to bank 2 (dual exhaust). Problem is bank 2 downstream O2 sensor. Is bank 2 located nearest to the radiator, or nearest to the fire wall?

Look at engine from crank pulley side. Left is Bank 2.

No sir. The left bank contained the forward cylinder (cylinder 1) making that bank one. The right bank closest to the radiator is bank 2.

For most vehicles, left bank is numbered 1, 3 and 5 making it bank one but for this engine, our database indicates otherwise.

ENGINE COMPONENT DESCRIPTION

The High Feature V6 VIN Code 7 RPO LY7 is a 3.6L engine incorporating two intake and two exhaust valves per cylinder. Individual intake and exhaust camshafts (DOHC) with camshaft position actuators are mounted on each cylinder head. The cylinder bore is 94 mm (3.7008 in) and the piston stroke is 85.6 mm (3.3701 in).
