This isn't a brake or bolt issue. A suspension part is worn and needs to be identified. The best approach is to have the car inspected at a tire and alignment shop. In particular, they will look first at the ball joints, tie rod ends, and control arm bushings. Clunking noises that stop when pressure is on the part from cornering forces are typically the result of sloppy struts, control arm bushings, and anti-sway bar links, but sway bar links are not real loud, and often can't be heard at highway speed.
Also don't overlook a broken rubber exhaust hanger / insulator. That can allow the pipe to be pulled to one side where a metal part can bang against the body.
