My car will not start whenever I try to get it to turn over it just clicks. I have had the battery, starter, and alternator checked and all work fine. It sounds like the clicking is coming from the throttle body but we are not sure. Any ideas?

I need you to check to see if there is power to the starter. Have a helper turn the key to the start position while you check for power to the smaller wire on the starter. You should have twelve volts when the key is in the start position.

Let me know what you find. Also, you may want to try switching the starter relay with another one from the relay box that has the same part number to see if that helps.

Have the computer scanned for codes. Also, check the BCM.

My car will not start or turn over and I am getting a power steering error. What could be the possible problem? I was not having any obvious before.

I have had my G6 for about a year and a half. Recenetly the starter began running longer than needed to start the car. Now I'm lucky if it starts at all. The relay hasn't failed, the fuses are still good. I replaced the starter and no effect. Dealers are too expensive to take to and I dont have cash to pay much for repairs. I need my car running soon.

Thanks for the reply. The odd thing about my problem is occasionally it does start like normal. I've continued trying the problem and the starter is pushing the cog to the fly wheel, but not spinning.

Verify if the engine is not locked-up by manually turning the crankshaft pulley 720 degs if it does and the starter is engaging the engine but not turning it over the starter overrunning clutch is slipping that's if battery and connections are all good, if this the case replace the starter
