My vehicle doesn't seem to have a belt routing diagram and they need to be replaced. What is the best way to do this? I believe I have located the tensioner pully but am not completely sure.

Yes, my question is that I am in the process of changing the belts on my car and I am stuck on how to finish. I already took out the ac belt but I am having difficulty putting the new one back on. So my question is what is the process of placing the new belt back on? Thanks and any answer would be helpful.

I replaced the timing belt and had to take off the air conditioner power steering and alternator belts and now do not know which way those three belts go back on. Do you have a routing diagram or something I can see to put the belts back on?

If it has three separate belts, then there are no diagrams available. The alignment will be very obvious. You have three separate pulley track and a simple visual will tell you which pulleys align with each other. The belts are layered.

Yes there is a tensioner that will need to be released. Here is a guide that will let you know what you are in for when changing the belt.

I live in Washington State so it's very cold outside right now. I park my car outside so this may be a factor. When I start up my car, everything is fine. I can let my car warm up or I can just drive it away. When I start driving it though, I hear this loud screeching noise coming under my hood. I went to my mechanic and he said that they are my belts. So he tighten power steering, water pump and alternator belt. Also he changed my power steering fluid too. My car doesn't make this sound all the time, but it has done it three times when I was driving to work in the past ten minutes. It's very bad because I can hear the screeching noise and so can other people. Are my belts going bad, power steering going out, my pulleys or belt tensioner that need to be changed or is my problem all the above? I also had this problem during the summer time, so this is just not happening; but I'm finding out that the problem is more common when it's cold outside.

Any help would be appreciated and thanks for the help!

I would have the belts replaced with good quality belts. They are worn out. Once they squeel, they are stretched and will break if they are tightened.

Take a look at this page. It shows the alt and adjuster. NOTE: You must first loosten the bolts on the bracket so it can move.
