I had my odyssey in to get the transmission flushed and serviced a week ago. It worked fine until last night. Got in, started up and all the dash lights came on. Battery light, ABS brake warning light, check engine light, passenger seat belt light, etc. The van was running, but seemed very sluggish and like it was stuck in a very low gear. I decided to try to make the 3 mile trek home. Along the way, the dash instruments went out- Gas gauge read empty, temperature range dropped to cold, etc. Now it won't start. Battery seems dead too. My question is Could this be related to the Transmission servicing, or is it as simple as the altenator going bad? I'm trying to figure out the best place to start in getting it repaired.

I would suggest checking the charging system first, as it is an easy procedure. It could be coincidence that the problem occurred after serviving the transmission as they don't seem related.
