My car has been sitting in my driveway on an inclins for a few months now & now That im trying to get it back on the road it wont come out of park ive presses the gear release button already. Ive also tried pushing it back and forth ive tried turning the steering wheel nothings working, its a brand new car off the lot im hoping its something minor. I was thinking it was just doing that because were on a incline but the gear is on the floor & im scared I might break it!

Is the button pushing in as normal?

Are your brake lights working?

It's probably just the weight of the vehicle resting on the gears.
With you foot firmly applied on the brake, push the release button and give it a quick, sharp tug out of Park.
This is all assuming that the interlock is not engaged which can be determined by being able to fully depress the release button. If you can't fully depress the release button, that would indicate that the Interlock system is locking it out electrically and you wouldn't want to apply force in that case.
