Hi, I recently was required to leave my Pt Cruiser sitting for 4 months while I was on assignment. Unfortunately when I returned the battery was completely dead. After a quick jump and an overnight trickle charge that appears bac up to snuff.

However I now see that sometimes when I start it, I get a P0346 error code. When thathappens the engine will not run above 2500 rpm. (It misfires heavily as you approach that I rpm. )

I suspect the Camshaft position sensor fault must be related to sitting for the long duration as it was not seen before. Are there any likely valves or ports that could have become gummed up from lack of use?

Any suggestions for a good course of action to find and fix the REAL problem?

Thanks very much,
Duane

Cam sensors are pretty common in those.
