I have zero power going to my rear lift gate or rear wipers. The window still opens when I use the remote but nothing else on the rear gate works. I have changes fuses and I have no idea whta else to look at. Any idea what this could be.

If the power liftgate motor in your 2007 Chevy Tahoe is making noise but not functioning properly, there could be a few potential causes for this issue:

Obstruction or binding:

Faulty motor or gears:

Wiring or electrical issues:

Control module or switch malfunction:

Check out the images (Below). Please let us know what happens.

A similar problem happened to me, a piece of debris was jamming one of the two latches that hold the rear end gate closed. If so inclined remove the plastic hatch panel from the inside. Remove the screw that holds the strap that can be used to pull down on the door from the open position. From there you need to pry up the top portion of the plastic trim that surrounds the window. You can then pry on the bottom panel that covers the latch workings. From here you can manipulate the connection cables that connect the outside handle to each individual latch to see which one if either will not open. Usually from this point you can actuate them both manually to open the end gate so you dont have to diagnose the problem while sitting in the cargo area. The design is fairly simple an you should be able to tell why the latches are not releasing when actuating the handle.

The rear lift gate will no longer stay open. When let go, it slams shut. What needs to be fixed and is it something that can be done by self.

You need to replace the lift gate struts. They are easy to change. They should come with instructions on how to change them.

I'm looking for a replacement module. i wanted to know if just the module could be purchased (intier part# 25001736)? what range of vehicles/year would this module fall under, so that i could broaden my search. and where would be the best place to purchase. and how do you replace it?

TMOTION, no I rigged it (I glued a pc of plastic on the inside of the button) so that when I push the rear window button from the outside it made contact with the release to pop the window. Then I reach in and pull up on the lever to release door. The alarm still functions so if I don't disarm, it sounds the alarm once you open it. If the tahoe was here now I'd take a picture to show you.

Not the best fix, but we rarely use the back so it works for now.

I did find a used part for $75 at a recycling auto parts place, but they were all different from the one I had in my SUV. Later I found out that I could of used that one as well.

In fact you can use just about any rear gm suv between 2000-2006 p/n 15808595. The cheapest new one was $169.57 + s/h, dealership wanted $286.04 this was 6 months.

Like I said my fix has worked for now. Good luck hope this helps.

I am in need of the same part. I took the actuator apart and found the electric motor is bad. On the motor was a number. FC-280SC-xxxxx

I could not read the last digits after the SC-

Can any one read the numbers on the small motor inside the actuator?

I think we could get a replacement motor if we could spec the rest of the motor numbers.

Thanks.
