I was driving and stopped at a light and it just cut off on me. I tried to jump start it but nothing happened. All the lights still came on. When I tried to start it again the engine just wouldn't catch. So I had a mobile mechanic come look at it. He said I had a blown head gasket cause the belt next to my engine didn't turn. I'm just wanting a second option cause I've had a blown head gasket before and it has none of the signs of a blown head gasket.

If the engine cranks, a blown head gasket will not stop the accessory belt from turning. Tell me, when you crank the engine, does it sound normal? Have you checked for spark and fuel to the engine? As far as belts, has anyone checked the timing belt?
