Was starting and running well. Then started having problems with stalling and the RPM's jumping around for a few days. Although, if you stop turn off and restart it would be fine. NOW dashlights and all come on yet there is not even any clicking or cranking. Checked fuses and still can not find the issue. Codes that came up were P2197, p2195, p16a7, p2240, p2237, p0171, p0174. Don't have a BMW dealer close to where I live and need some help.
I recently replaced the fuel pump and fuel filter and air filter. Battery is stll strong. Where to start looking?

If all of the electrical systems work properly, but the engine won't turn over, check the starter solenoid and the starter.

It aint the starter. EWS is the drive away protection that requires there to be a handshake between the chip in the key and a rolling code in the EWS module and the DME, when misalignment occurs due to voltage excursions or a bad battery, the symptoms you describe occur. It will need to be inspected by someone who has the correct scanning/realignment tool.

Battery is new in trunk. I don't have a shop within 2 hours of where I live that wants to work on BMW's they are all scared. Country. The key is older and might need the battery replaced. If I order a scanner/realignment tool online is it possible to do myself. The other guy whom looked at my car said the DME fuse was probably bad. Do I order the fuse or the scanner and can I do myself. I have changed starters, replaced coils, fuel pumps and minor issues. I just want to get this car goin instead of letting set and waist away.

The problem will require the aforementioned scan tool, get on the phone and find a shop that repairs BMW cars, you might need to have it towed.

I have not been able to get back to the car in awhile. Was able to get it to push start and run, but intermittently stalls or shuts off. Is it still the EWS or could it be the ingnition swithch. Or I could order a new replacement EWS preprogramed with keys and all. Do not have a shop within 10 hours that has the alignment tool-the G1 or something like that. Any ideas are much appreciated? Please help do not want to waste this car.

Also, do not have replacement keys. I replaced the battery trying to see if that was the problem, no difference. Was able to reprogram from link on the internet. Doors unlock and all, but still no start not even a crank. Could it also, be the starter solenoid?

Yes, it could be the starter solenoid. Try using a remote switch. Hooked to battery and small terminal on starter.
