Just replaced my bottom hose pipe to my rad and replaced all the coolant and water back into then got told to tak ethe cap of the coolant tank to get all the air out of the rad got about half way into it and the rad started to vent steam and the coolant.

Oh right didnt see that sorry right recently I managed to spilt a hose pipe on the bottom rad and replaced it today but theres air traped in and ive been told to take the cap off the coolant tank and let it run out all the air but mid way through the rad started to vent steam its not smoke just steam and theres this wierd foam appearing in the coolant tank now just not to sure what to do and its not my head gasket its fine all ready done the test to do and no theres no oil in the coolant not sure really hope someone can help me with this

Remove the cap and fill the radiator. Start the car. When the stat opens the fluid will go up and down until the stat opens. Then youll see steam and the fluid will drop in the radiator. Fill it and cap it. Then fill the coolant jug. Ty for using 2 carpros

Some cars have a hard time getting all of the air out of the coolant system.
This is a way that I do it on most cars.
