2002 Saturn LW300 won't start after, (seemingly), running out of gas? Tried jumping it and when it is connected to another car the engine attempts to turn over but the minute it is no longer connected the engine no longer turns over. When the key is in the "run" position and the car not connected by jumper cables to another car nothing happens. This happened just after I ran out of gasoline prior to that there were no issues. Any suggestions as to what the problem is? Perhaps there is a "reset" button to press after running out of gas? I'd appreciate any help. Thanks.

Are you sure that you ran out of gas and not a bad alternator
start by charging the battery and attempt to start , if it does start check charging system if no start but cranks only
check for spark and check for fuel and fuel pressure
let me know
