Is the replacement power steering return line different from the original?

I need to replace the return line on my car. The one I was given seems totaly different from what came on the car. The original seems to be a 2 piece affair with a fitting on one end and a clampable hose on the other. The replacement piece looks like it threads into the steering shaft box, runs along the rack and has several bends which end up in a bulbed end which a piece of rubber hose is clamped over and then the other end clamps to the resivoir. The one that came on the car is a piece of hose that has a short piece of tubing with a threaded fitting at the other end. I'm not sure which one to use. The one from the parts store looks like it may work.

They should be the same. Check to make sure you didn't get a high pressure hose in place of a return line.

It is a return line. Only one threaded end. I looks like it will work. I will give it a try. Thank you for your quick response.
