2001 Pontiac Sunfire need help

i think its an 2001 with a 2.2 liter not sure ok so the battery is charged you hit the key and it wont start if u take a screw driver and manually hit the starter it starts so is the starting position on the ignition out or is it something else help and it has a wining noise cant get a good diognasis on igsactly where its coming from what could that be i was thinking the power steering pump?

If you can engage it with the screwdriver at the starter motor-sounds like your ignition switch or a starter relay-

Lets not forget it could be the neutral safety switch its a automatic. Do you have a multi meter to do some testing? To trace the power flow to the starter the starter might even flow thru the computer on that one would have to look it up.
