Hi,

With my code reader I was able to pull P0302 - Powertrain - Cylinder 2 Misfire. After researching a little bit online and asking a friend of mine that's a mechanic, I replaced all 4 spark plugs and their coils. For starters, my car won't start, even after the replaced plugs and coils. When I replaced the spark plugs, 3 of the 4 were black, only 1 was clean.

Not far back, the spark plug cables were replaced because they were shorting out. Also around that same time the EGR valve was replaced.

Last week the car started to shake in the idle position and just 2 days ago I went to go to work and the car was shaking just sitting in the driveway, so I took my wifes car to work instead due to the Check Engine Light coming on. The car did however, start that morning, but won't start anymore.

Please help, I'm not a mechanic by any means and would like to keep cost down. I've already spend $100.

Thank you in advance.

Start with basics. You need compression, fuel pressure and spark.

Start there, I would look at the timing belt first

600-800 including all parts and labor, this is not an absolute. It may or may not be the belt. It has to be confirmed first
