2002 Ford Focus No Start

Hi, my daughter has a 2002 Ford Focus when the car once to it starts up great and runs good as well.
Seems as when it gets damp outside it does not start, but with the cold dry weather it still does not start.
Son n Law replaced the fuel filter and had it running for a day or two and has not been able to start now for a week. When they turn the key to start it does fire like it once to start but dies immediately after a very flash second.
Any ideas?

Scan for codes and check fuel pressure with a gauge auto parts rent them. Check for spark leaking from coils/wires. You can try sraying choke cleaner into throttle body if car starts it's a fuel problem.
